Somebody needs to do a project of the impact of good restaurants on property values. It would not be easy, because high property values generally reflect affluence, which in turn draws good restaurants. In that spirit, one probably should see how good restaurants with reasonably priced fare affects house values. Here is a sample of such places--this is not a "best" list, but rather a "really good for the money" list. It reflects six years of happy eating in Los Angeles:
