Training Program Educates Bartenders and Servers at Monmouth and Ocean County Restaurants on Safe Service
Allenhurst, NJ (PRWEB) June 11, 2014
In an effort to crack down on underage drinking, Monmouth University teamed up with Prevention First to sponsor Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS). The program is designed to educate restaurant employees, owners, and managers in the Jersey Shore area about preventing alcohol consumption of minors.
The free training course teaches participants the legal consequences for serving those with false identification and how to handle various situations. By taking this half-day class, workers will be able to identify false identification, and ensure fewer alcohol related incidents.
Some helpful tips to serve customers responsibly according to the TIPS program are: be firm while still making guests feel comfortable, identify false identification, take care of a problem in the moment, call a cab for those without a designated driver, do the right thing by providing guests with a safe and satisfying experience.
