The bankruptcy of franchisor Mrs. Winner's Chicken & Biscuits last year has resulted in the rebranding of seven restaurant locations in the Triad, according to the High Point Enterprise. Piedmont Restaurant Group has converted its seven locations of the chain to a new name, "Umphy's," which is based on the high school nickname of group owner Paul Umphenour.
