An effort spearheaded by Las Cruces restaurant owners could lead to a change in the state’s liquor licensing law. A proposal by the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership would allow restaurants, clubs or bars in cities with a certified New Mexico MainStreet designation to obtain a full-service liquor license for $50,000, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.
