The Event Orlando celebrates its 10th, worldwide performing arts competition at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL this December 18 – 23, 2013.

The Event Orlando is dedicated to providing an amazing experience this winter at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort for the over 1000 kids, teens and young adults from around the world. For years, The Event Orlando has given selected talent the opportunity to network with the hottest celebrities and industry professionals throughout the entertainment business. The Event December 2013 will mark the company’s 10th event at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort since March of 2010.
The Event Orlando produces the largest global industry event dedicated to showcasing actors, models, dancers and singers to industry professionals who specialize in kids programming between the ages of 5 to 18. Young performers from all over the world go through The Event interview and audition process in order to be invited to attend The Event at Disney. The weeklong event draws dozens of today’s top agents, managers, casting directors and record labels from across the globe looking to find their next discovery for upcoming projects.
Past celebrities include Eric Allen Kramer from Disney’s “Good Luck Charlie,” Ariana Grande, Mikey Reid and Leon Thomas III from Nick’s “Victorious,” Stefanie Scott and Carlon Jeffrey from Disney’s “A.N.T. Farm,” along with The Event Orlando’s alumni celebrities like Hayden Byerly who is on ABC Family’s “The Fosters” and Zayne Emory who has appeared on several Disney shows like “Shake It Up,” “A.N.T. Farm,” and “Kickin’ It.” All the celebrities and industry professionals stay at the beautiful resort. The chance to hang out, swim and eat at the same restaurants for a week with celebrities is phenomenal.
“I attended The Event in 2010 and it was a fantastic experience. I had never done any type of acting prior to The Event. My favorite part was hanging out for a week with all these kids that I watched daily on TV. Then!!! I won!!! I signed with an agent I met at The Event! Auditions kept coming my way and now I’m a series regular on a show produced by Jennifer Lopez! How crazy is that?” exclaims Hayden Byerly one of The Event Orlando’s alumni.
“Entertainment is changing before our eyes. Teaching method and technique to young actors has become a lost art. Talent is measured by fans and followers online. Before the internet an actor needed to go door to door, submit headshots and hope to get a call to come in and read a monologue for an agent.
